Last October, Cleanwatts was honored to participate in the final conference of the GRETA Project (Governance and Regulations for Energy Transition through Awareness) in Bologna, Italy. This collaborative research project sought to understand how policy can empower citizens to participate more actively in shaping the energy transition.
As a company committed to building innovative energy solutions, we believe citizen engagement is critical for creating a sustainable and equitable energy future. The GRETA Project offered a valuable platform for us to contribute our expertise, learn from stakeholders, and shape the conversation around energy citizenship.
Insights from the GRETA Project
We’re excited to share the final project video, offering a compelling summary of the GRETA Project findings. Here’s how Cleanwatts contributed to the project:
Understanding Motivations and Barriers: We shared insights into what influences citizens’ willingness to participate in the energy transition and the challenges they may encounter.
Developing a Data-Driven Approach: We helped create a rich dataset to monitor how the concept of energy citizenship evolves, offering valuable metrics for progress.
Fostering Community Collaboration: We worked closely with local stakeholders in Bologna to ensure the project aligned with the community’s needs and offered tangible benefits.
The Path Forward: Empowering Energy Communities
The GRETA Project’s outcomes reinforce our conviction that empowered citizens are essential for a successful energy transition. Building on the insights gained, Cleanwatts is committed to developing solutions that facilitate active citizen involvement in energy systems.
