What data will I have access to with my Kiome Energy Communities account?

By creating your personal account, you will have access to your Community Energy consumption data and your accumulated savings since joining the Community, among much more.

Where does the energy sharing data used by Cleanwatts come from?

The data that Cleanwatts uses for its account and for billing the energy consumed in the energy community (collective self-consumption) is provided to us by E-Redes, the main Distribution System Operator (DSO) in Portugal.

I joined an Energy Community, how many invoices will I receive?

You will receive the invoice from your usual retailer and a new one from Cleanwatts, relating only to the energy consumed in the Energy Community.

Being a member of an Energy Community, how can you guarantee that the energy you consume during the month won't be double-charged?

E-Redes is the entity responsible for supplying and managing energy data: both Cleanwatts and your supplier receive your consumption data, respectively. This sharing ensures that there is no duplication of billing data. You can access this information on E-Redes’ website by clicking here.

Could there be adjustments to the invoices?

Yes. Since the data we use for invoicing comes from a third party (E-Redes), it may occasionally be necessary to issue invoices with adjustments for the periods in question.

My monthly energy expenses have increased! What could have happened?

There are two factors that have a big impact on the price: the level of consumption and the variations in your usual supplier’s energy tariffs.

If consumption increases in certain months, it’s normal for your costs to rise. This is common, for example, in winter, when more energy is used for heating.

If the level of consumption has remained the same in recent months, your tariff from the regular supplier has probably increased. In this case, we suggest you check your invoice and evaluate your tariff. If you have a market-indexed tariff, this price may vary from month to month.
